What is Impetus and how this is used

Impetus means “something that makes a process or activity happen or happen more quickly” and comes from Latin, where it means “attack or assault”, the verb “impetere” was formed by combining the prefix in- with petere, meaning “to go to or seek.”

The subject of impetus has been thoroughly studied in the past especially as relates to the motivations of man.

Many athletes find impetus through music. Some people find their impetus through motivational clips. Others find impetus in religion, love and philosophy.

If you do not have your own impetus, you had better find one, otherwise you have nothing to assist you to survive with the speed of modern life.

Now the highest altitude of impetus to operate from is DUTY. It is the Duty of the doctor to find and treat the maladies of his clients. Obtaining a sense of satisfaction out of making the ill more able and well would be his impetus.

On the flip side the lowest point of impetus to operate from is MONEY. With the same doctor, if his impetus changed to money then he wouldn’t care if his patient got well or not only that he was paid. This doctor would probably over charge and start developing a bad reputation as a rip off or charlatan.

In both examples the underlying impetus of the individual is so important. It can change a person from caring to not caring. From someone who can get a result and someone who doesn’t.

IMPETUS and the right impetus are a very strong point in life. Make sure you get this point in for yourself and for the people around you!
